Our community Face Masks, hand-made & fairly produced in Munich have now reached Kenia.

Stand up For Unity (SUFU) cooperates with the Creative Lab team at Munich University of Applied Sciences.  SUFU & C. LAB share the same common objectives: To come together as a community by providing reusable & high quality face masks while raising environmental awareness by reducing waste, as oppose to using disposable masks. SUFU has been providing 100% high quality cotton certified by Öko-Tex Standard 100 fabrics.

Alongside its activities ranging from awareness, capacity building & empowerment workshops to panel discussions & the „Coexist Journey“ art exhibitions, hundreds of handmade masks have been distributed all over Germany since mid-March. Due to the unprecedented mandatory use of face masks resulted by the COVID-19 pandemic – We The Women is producing thousands of 100% high quality cotton, reusable face-masks at an affordable price under the          Stand Up For Unity movement.

An expert advisory team, in the fields of communication, empowerment/life coaching and the arts focusing on themes dealing with: social competence, emotional intelligence, the notion of self-concept, soft skill & empathy using creativity and the arts, has carefully been designed for the “Empowerment through creativity – Introduction to occupational and art therapy” project. 

The project was designed not only for mentally and/or physically challenged Afghan women living within Afghanistan but also for female patients admitted into the psychiatric wards of clinics throughout Kabul.

The Canadian/Afghan human right’s activist Nahid Shahalimi, now living in Germany, visited most of the Afghan national sports teams since 2015 - traveling 19 times all over Afghanistan. As a former professional volleyball player, representing Canada in the world tour of FIVB-BV, she was shocked to find that the women athletes did not even have a proper changing room. They did not have appropriate sports’ clothing, nor any appropriate sports shoes and/or equipment. 

Supporting Afghan Olympic Committee/Afghan National sports federations and all Afghan National female athletes with supplies & gear.
